Graham Beall Dobbins Sr., 78, died Oct. 1, 2013. He was born Sept. 22, 1935, in Midland, Texas, to Richard and Edith Oates Dobbins. Survivors are two sons, Graham Beall Jr., and Richard Ridley; a daughter, Anne Carolyn; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and close friend, Nancy Barth. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He was married to Mary Carolyn Ridley of Newport. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Loren; a grandson, Graham Cody; and a brother, William Wayne. He worked for C.I.T. Inc., a leading provider of financial and advisory services to small businesses and middle-market companies, and later was a loan officer for First National Bank in Little Rock. He retired from the FDIC in Odessa, Texas. He was a certified scuba diver, an avid fisherman and photographer, and a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing the songs of Cole Porter and the Beatles. Adored by his family, he will always be remembered for the lessons he taught, particularly the Golden Rule and to always maintain one's dignity. He was a life-long Methodist. A memorial service was held in Anson, Texas.
