James Franklin Cox Sr
James Franklin Cox Sr, 78, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was a devoted member of the Mabelvale Church of Christ. He was a Korean veteran and retired from Safeway. James was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Wiley Cox; his parents, Philip H. Cox Sr. and Addie Mae Dowell Cox; and his brother, Thomas Cox. He is survived by three sons, James F. Cox Jr. and wife Sandra, Michael H. Cox and wife Wendy, Mark D. Cox and wife Kristie; two daughters, Sandra G. Cox Yates and husband Tom, and Barbara J. Cox Yarbrough and husband Tracy; his sister, Ruth Cox Douglass; a brother, Philip H. Cox Jr. and wife Jama; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was loved and will be missed by many.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800. Mr. Terry Hays and Mr. Leon Klitz will officiate. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at Lebanon Cemetery at McRae, Ark.
