Timothy J. Woolems Sr.

Timothy J. Woolems Sr., 65, of White Hall, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri. Born November 19, 1947 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Robert Owen Woolems and the late Carolyn Dugan Oates. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He worked in the security field for a number of years and retired from the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Tim has always been involved in the health and fitness area, starting the Cosmopolitan Spa in Pine Bluff. He was currently the owner and operator of the White Hall Fitness Center. He was a devoted family man, always putting his wife, children and grandchildren first. Tim loved the outdoors and enjoyed music. He coached Pee-Wee Football and Basketball in White Hall for a number of years with his good friend, Len Pennington. Tim loved his Rottweiler, Gabby, and often took her for rides in his truck and to the gym. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeannie Thompson. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Cynthia Evans Woolems of White Hall; three sons, Timothy J. Woolems, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Little Rock, Richard Jason Woolems and wife, LaTasha of Star City, and Christopher Rowland Woolems and wife, Christine of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Amanda Gayle Woolems, Timothy Neal Woolems, Kathryn Sue Woolems, Courtney Paige Woolems, Cody Wayne Harrington and Jaden Nicole Woolems; one great-grandchild, Adahliah Diane Hunt; brother, Stanley Woolems of Hot Springs; sister, Carol Ann Whitmire, of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Tom Hart officiating Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00–8:00PM at Robinson's. Friends may sign the online register at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
