Patricia Foy Erwin, 86, of Little Rock, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Erwin was preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. and Lois Foy and a sister, Nadine Marcum. Mrs. Erwin is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harry C. Erwin, three children, Dee Vinson and husband Dale, Chuck Erwin and wife Terri, Robert Erwin, grandchildren, Daniel Martinez and wife Courtney, Alyssa Martinez, Marisa Ann and Clayton Erwin, Amy and Ford Rogers, Patrick, Kate, Elly and Grace Erwin and great-grandchildren, Annabelle Rogers and Graham Martinez. Mrs. Erwin grew up in Park Hill in North Little Rock and graduated from North Little Rock High School. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After college, she began working at Russell Brown and Company, the largest accounting firm in Arkansas at the time. She soon met her husband, Harry Erwin a CPA at the firm, and left to begin her family. Mrs. Erwin and her husband loved to travel and traveled extensively in Europe and throughout the United States. One of the highlights of her travels which brought her so much pleasure and happiness was taking the entire family on numerous cruises and trips. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Mrs. Erwin was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her friendships in the club, Bas Bleu, and other community clubs. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and treasured friend. She will be missed by so many. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to caregivers Mary Harris, Willie Yarbrough, Sybil Netherton, Sharon McCuller, Roosevelt Berry and Felecia Kilpatrick for their dedicated service in caring for Mrs. Erwin during the past several years. A Visitation and Celebration of Pat Erwin's life will be held at the home of Terri and Chuck Erwin, 17 Glenridge, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002, (847-2755) on Friday, November 15, 2013. The Very Reverend Jonathon Jensen, Dean and Rector of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
