Bobby Joe Stender

Bobby Joe Stender, 71, of Cabot, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Bobby was born July 31, 1942 in Stuttgart, Ark. to the late George and Pauline (McKibben) Stender. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Nolte and a brother, Paul Stender. Mr. Stender was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and retired from State Farm Insurance. He is survived by wife, Judie (Crownrich) Stender of Cabot; children, Angela Jo Sampels and husband Stuart of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Marcus Joe Stender and wife Kerith of Santa Fe, N.M., and Marcie Jo Duncan and husband Jeff of Cabot; brother, Charles Stender of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Brian Duncan and Bobby Joe Duncan of Cabot. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. with pastors Mark Smith and Cliff Hutchins officiating.
