Dale J. Ball

Dale J. Ball, beloved husband, father and brother, 79 years old, passed into Eternal Life on November 8, 2013. He was born April 7, 1934, in Sardis, Arkansas, son of William L. Ball and Euna Hamilton Ball. He graduated from Bauxite High School in 1953 and received a B.S.B.A. from the University of Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army in New Jersey 1953-1955. He retired in 1999 after 38 years with International Harvester Credit Corporation-Navistar, and moved back to Memphis. Dale loved to fish, golf and was an excellent cook, BBQ master and was best at frying fish and hushpuppies. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Mary Kay Ball, his daughter Daren Ball McDowell, his step children, Lee, Gary and Greg Turnage and Gerri T. Bailey. His brother, Bobby W. Ball of Bismarck, Arkansas and 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and two daughters, Debra Ball and Dana Ball Reynolds. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 16, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Germantown, Tenn. Visitation at 10 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m. and a Reception following. Dale donated his body to MERI (Medical Educational Research Inc./Genesis).
