David Alan Smith

David Alan Smith, 51, of Mt. Vernon passed away on November 17, 2013. He was a son of Clora Zesta (Baker) and the late Charlie G. Smith. He became known as his brother's keeper because he took so much care and concern for his older brother during his time of illness. This same care and concern was extended to other family members and neighbors. He was an extremely kind-hearted individual, who would do anything in the world for you. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his mother, Clora Zesta (Baker) Smith; and three sisters, Myra Larsen (Ernie), Sylvia Shultz, and Karen Teague (Cody). He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Earl Smith. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Baker Cemetery in Barney with Bishop Shawn Oliver officiating.
