Gweneth Faye Hermes, 80, of Jacksonville, passed from this life on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Born in Formosa, Arkansas, she was a daughter to James Elmer and Mamie (Harris) Merryman. Gwen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother who loved animals. Faye had worked at Tommy Restaurant, Kimberly Clark Corp., Care Link and AFEX Exchange. Faye was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 4548 and a member of Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel. Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 55 years, Elton Hermes; children: Dianna Fason of Conway, David Hermes of Jacksonville and Mark Hermes (Jennifer) also of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Sammy Hermes; a sister Lula Mae McElyea and a brother Dewayne Merryman. Services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with, Chaplin Randall Jamison, Shawn Fason and Frank Fason officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with Christopher Franco, Conner Fason, James Ford, James Herring, Jeff Griggs and Tristan Hermes serving as pallbearers.
