Jack Clark McGlothin, beloved father and grandfather(Papa), went home to be with his Lord JESUS Christ November 15th, 2013. Aged 88 years, 353 days. He was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas November 27th 1924. At age 6 he moved to Pocahontas, Arkansas where he graduated high school as a star football and basketball player. Jack met Arlene Corzine on a blind date in 1942. Within a few weeks they were happily married until her death 57 years later. Shortly after they were married Jack was drafted. He served as a Sargent in General Patton's 3rd Army. Upon discharge in 1945 he dismissed college and professional football offers to return to North Little Rock and go to work as a bricklayer for his grandfather W.E "Bill" Clark. In 1977 Jack became President of the company. He worked diligently for 63 years. Jack was a family man, a Christian of the Baptist faith, a craftsman and a businessman in that order. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Virginia Burrow, loving wife Arlene Corzine McGlothin. He is survived by his sister Nancy Bramlett son, Clark/Cathy McGlothin, daughter, Michelle/Gokhan Esentan, grandchildren: Mary Corbin/Dr. John Levin, Mari Carherine/ Dr. J.B. Suffridge, and Troy Deniz Esentan, great-grandchildren: John Austin Levin, Alice Gwendolyn Levin, Mary Corzine "Cora" Suffridge, and Amelia Suffridge and nephew Mark Jeffress. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at Rest Hills Cemetery Chapel. Visitation 9 a.m. Funeral 10 a.m. In lieu of Flowers please make memorials to Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene Soup Kitchen, 116 South Pine, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
