Glen David Hamilton, 81, of West Point, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. David was born on Sunday, April 3, 1932 in Griffithville, Arkansas to the late Jim and Eunice Story Hamilton. A beloved family man and member of the community, David was married to his wife Jackie for 60 years. David was a retired machinist for the Mississippi River Transmission Corp, and was the volunteer mayor of West Point for 37 years. A 60-year Master Mason, David was a perpetual member of Searcy Lodge No. 49 and became a 32nd degree freemason in 1981. David was a life member of the Scottish Rite, and was conferred the rank and decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 2007. David was a member of First Baptist Church of Kensett. David is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Macky and Jimmy Hamilton; and sisters, Ann Rogers and Lou Hubach. Left to cherish his memory are David's wife Jackie; sons, Michael and Mitchell Hamilton; his siblings, Ernestine McGibboney, Alice Barker, Martha Crigger, Jackie Lee Bordelon, Jane Manasco, Nicky Hamilton, and Gary Hamilton; his grandchildren, Jeff Hamilton, Jennifer Murphy, Julie Fiser, Matthew Hamilton and Tyler Phillips; and his "precious greats", Madilyn, Ian, Lilah and Fiona. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Joe Clement officiating. Interment will follow in the West Point Cemetery.
