Jimmie Gaye Rogers

Jimmie Gaye Rogers, age 65, with complications from pneumonia, ended her long battle with Waldenstrom's lymphoma on November 18, 2013. Gaye is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy B. Rogers, of Flippin, Arkansas and her tso sons, Bill Rogers (Cyndy) of Ward and Ryan Rogers of Searcy and her two grandsons, Cole Rogers and Dawson Rogers. her parents, James Vernon and Hilma McClung Cunningham, preceded her in death. Gaye is also survived by her four sisters, Sara (James) Weddle of North Little Rock, Carole Day of Hot Springs Village, Doris (Paul) Williams of Benton, and Cathy (Ed) Hancock of Conway and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Gaye was a wonderful Christian who spent many years working beside her husband in his body shop at Hazen until they moved to their dream retirement home on the White River in Fairview, out from Flippin. They spent the last years enjoying the White River in front of their home and all of the family and friends who were welcomed into that home. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by many. Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2013, at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen, Ark., from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, November 23, at First Baptist Church in Hazen at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the Hazen Public Library.
