Donald "Tiny" Keith Kirk Sr.

DONALD "TINY" KEITH KIRK SR. passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. Don was born July 10, 1927 in Pittsburg, Kan. to parents Ira and Muriel Kirk. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; and two sisters; and son, Stuart Shaw Kirk. Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wilma Kern Kirk; daughter, Pam Kirk of Bend, Ore.; son, Keith Kirk and wife Carla of Collierville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Amber Kirk of Little Rock, Ark., Elizabeth Kirk, and Rachel Kirk of Collierville, Tenn., and Brenda Kirk of Sherwood, Ore. Don proudly served in the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class in WWII on Samar, Philippines. He owned and ran a number of commercial contracting companies including Kirk Plastering and Tile Company. He also, was a successful owner/operator of car dealerships, apartment complexes and commercial ranches. He helped to start-up numerous well-known businesses in Central Arkansas. Many of which are still in business today. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Highland Valley United Methodist Church 15524 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, Ark. 72221 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor W. Wade Shownes officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark. Memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Cemetery P.O.
