Jewel McElyea Alberson, 96, of Sherwood passed away Monday, September 30, 2013. She was born in Atkins, Ark. to the late Cleve Barton and Josie Mae Shirley McElyea. Jewel was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Raymond Leon Alberson; daughter, Betty Glover; sister, Cora Bledsoe; and two brothers, Howard and Harold McElyea. Jewel was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Alter Society. She also enjoyed her arts and crafts at IC and her passion was working in her yard. Jewel was employed in her early career as a Ward Secretary at the University Hospital and later trained as a LPN and worked for various agencies. After her nursing career she spent a lot of time at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Antonacci; four grandchildren, Terri Zakrzewski (Tommy), Joe Antonacci (Kathy), Keith Glover and Alison Joyner (Phillip); her sister, Irene McCullah and a host of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F.
