Jackie McDonald

Mrs. Jackie McDonald, 86, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013. Mrs. McDonald was a native of Okolona; a resident of Texarkana for 54 years and a resident of Hamburg for the past 11 months. She was an Elementary School Teacher for 28 years having taught most of those years at Fairview Elementary School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Texarkana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen McDonald in 2003; her parents, Ed and Fay Berry Hill; three sisters, Patsy Davidson, Betty McClain and Judy Jones; and a son-in-law, Billy Meeks. She is survived by four daughters, Karen Beaton of Fayetteville; Gina McDonald of Texarkana; Patti Meeks of Hamburg and Becca Gault of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 202 S. Main Street, Hamburg, Ark. 71646.
