Chiquetta "Keeta" (Harris) Pierce

Chiquetta "Keeta" (Harris) Pierce, age 67, of Austin, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. She was born in Newport, Ark. to William Henry Harris and Mary "Toddy" Davidson Harris. Keeta was the eldest of three daughters. She married Harry M. Pierce III in North Little Rock, Ark. on Nov. 9, 1987. She recently attended ASU LRAFB, received her certificate in upholstery, and was then an assistant to the instructor. She was a 30+ year employee of the Veterans' Administration, working at the regional office. She loved researching the family genealogy and history. She was a diverse woman, and enjoyed many hobbies including: upholstery, sewing, gardening, cooking, and tinkering with power tools. She will be fondly remembered by her two daughters, Lisa Ann Williams and Dawn Renee Williams; her sisters, Bobby Joe Harris and Denise "Dixie" Bersch and many other extended family members and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her parents, William and Mary. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. A private family burial will follow.
