Virginia Lee Work

Virginia Lee Work, 87, of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away, Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at White Hall Nursing and Rehab. She was born Aug. 22, 1926, in St. Louis, Missouri, to William Vernon and Ella Comer Frank. She was reared and educated in Hancock High School in Lemay, Mo. Mrs. Work was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. She had worked at International Paper before retiring as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Fischer Work, Jr., whom she married on Sept. 7, 1944 in Kansas City, Kan.; her parents; a brother and a sister. Survivors include her son, Samuel Fischer Work III (Linda), of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Sandy Hudson (Dowell) of Little Rock; grandchildren, David Work (Shannon) of Bryant, Virginia Blankenship (Drew) of Little Rock, Michael Work (Bridgette) of Russellville and five great-grandchildren.
