Bona Jean Rogers Bauman, age 89, of Russellville, formerly of Little Rock, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born June 7, 1924, at Almyra, Arkansas, to Nelson and Lula Myrtle Carnes Rogers. She was an active member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock, and was a graduate of the Central Baptist College in Conway. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Robert Henry Bauman; and two sisters, Donna Bluhm and Virgie Lefler. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Bauman of Russellville; her sister, Verna Bluhm of Stuttgart; three grandchildren, Bethany Walker and her husband, Larry, of Russellville, Amberley Futterer and her husband, Joe, of Springdale, and Brant Bauman and his wife, Kara, of Russellville; and four great-grandchildren, Carson and Weston Walker, both of Russellville, and Elsy and Addler Futterer, both of Springdale. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Ted Stanton, with visitation to follow at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., in the Lone Tree Cemetery at Stuttgart, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
