Larry Edward Whittington

Larry Edward Whittington, 68, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at his home. He was born July 26, 1945 in West Helena, Arkansas a son of the late Robert Edward and Alma Naomi Hicks Whittington. Larry retired from Eaton and was an accomplished guitarist. He was also very athletic and was a talented baseball player in his younger years. Larry was a dedicated, hard working man who loved his family and friends greatly. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Whittington; three children, Theresa Whittington Moody, Larry Wayne "Buddy" Whittington and Christy Daughn Whittington (Jack Cole) all of Bald Knob; brother, David Hyatt of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Carol Ann Martin of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandsons, Todd Branscum and wife Somer Nicole Burton Branscum, Trent Branscum and wife Christie Gayle Jones Branscum, Jacob Whittington, Caleb Whittington, Romie "Tanner" Cole, Jaxson, Scottie and Hannah Cole; four great-grandchildren, Landon Bryce Branscum, Brody Lane Branscum, Braxton Zander Branscum and Zola Brielle Branscum. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald Steve Whittington and Bobby Whittington. Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 2 p.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob.
