Harriett Walker Montgomery, age 74, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Montgomery was born Oct. 24, 1938, in Artesia, N.M., the daughter of the late Ila David and Cleo Duckett Walker. Mrs. Montgomery was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She had worked as the Director of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for Jefferson County, retiring after 27 years of service. She was a member of Good Faith-Carr United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by three daughters, Rachael Ray and infant twin daughters. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Montgomery, whom she married Feb. 9, 1957, in Pine Bluff; daughter, Leah Montgomery McClellan and husband, J. E., of Pine Bluff; sister, Karen Walker of Pine Bluff; grandsons, Noah and Robin Ray of Sherwood, Nathan and Jennifer Ray and son, Landon all of Long Island, N.Y. and James Oliver McClellan and many nieces and nephews. The family would like extend a very special "Thank You" to Hospice Angels.
