Peggy D. Smith

Peggy D. Smith, widow of William Charles Smith and retired banking executive passed away Friday, Oct. 25 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark. She had worked at Springhill, La., Pine Bluff, Ark., retiring from the Cleburne County Bank of Heber Springs as Sr. Vice President and Loan Officer. She had served on the Board of Directors of the Heber Springs Chamber of Commerce and Heber Springs Rotary Club. After the death of her husband, she served as part time Financial Secretary for the First Baptist Church of Heber Springs, where she was a member. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Alisa and Michael Myers of Conway, Ark.; granddaughters, Rachael Myers and Brittany Jackson; great-granddaughters, Kyndall Myers and Collin Jackson; and her brother Bill Evans and wife Robbie of Springhill, La. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with services following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
