John Buford Waymack, age 90, of Cabot passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 He was born August 2, 1923 in Lonoke County, Arkansas to the late William Jewell and Evie Mae Smith Waymack. Before joining the U.S. Army WWII Air Corp at the age of 19, he graduated from Cabot High School. He retired with 29 years of Service from the U.S. Air Force with rank of Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt) Flight Engineer in September 1973; He received many awards and metals one being the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of F&AM Lodge #319 in Cabot and a 32 Degree Mason and of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death by daughter: Linda Joyce Waymack, brothers: Harvey Waymack, and William J. "Dub" Waymack John is survived by wife of 57 years Margie Guenther Waymack, daughter: Paula G. Bradford of Cabot, granddaughter: Jennifer Witcher Munn (Michael) of Perryville, grandson: Matthew P. Lawrence of Cabot, sister in law Patricia West (Art) of Murphy, North Carolina, brother-in-law: Robert Guenther of Cisco, Texas, and a host of other family and friends. John took great pride in his home and farm. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by family and friends who knew and loved him Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Friday, November 1, 2013 Sumner Cemetery in Cabot.
