Lucille St. Clair Newby, 89, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on October 27, 2013. She was born on July 8, 1924 in St. Louis, Mo. to Gedie and Camille Moore. She lived most of her life in Memphis, Tenn. and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She had a lifelong love of the Lord, her family, and her friends – she especially loved the children in her life. She was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark., and a member of Second Baptist Church while living in Memphis. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Magna Charta Dames and Barons. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Graden, and sister Elizabeth. She is survived by one son William "Jack" St.Clair (Ann), three grandchildren, Melissa (Doug), Jackie (Jerry), and Steve (Shiela), three great-grandchildren, Noah, Parker, and Haley, and many others who loved her. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
