Jim Vandiver

Jim Vandiver, of North Little Rock, passed away September 2, 2013. He was born July 21, 1940 in Leighton, Alabama to the late Clyde and Katie Lee Fuller Vandiver. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Vandiver of North Little Rock; daughter, Teresa Vandiver Lassiter and husband, Kevin Lassiter of Lonoke; sons, Joe Vandiver and Jason Vandiver and wife, Kelly Vandiver all of North Little Rock; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Jim was a Pentecost Church of God minister and owned and operated a termite and pest control business. Jim loved his family and friends, loved to make people smile telling jokes and making everyone smile was a joy to him. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
