Hermine Magdalena Linz

Hermine Magdalena Linz, 61, of Conway, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Born in Linz, Austria on June 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Johann and Maria Hoffman Abt. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and Oma. Before her illness Hermine had been the director of Information Technology at Leisure Arts. She was also a past President of Conway Business and Professional Women, a member of the Danauschwaben Villages Helping Hands and a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband Michael Linz; children: Angela Janowiecki (Chris) of Conway, Ark., Sharon Hess (Jeff), also of Conway, Dion Linz (Sherri) of Berryville, Ark., Andrea Ratzlaff of Virginia Beach, Va., Justin Linz (Jessica) of Springdale, Ark. and David Murphy ( Bailie) of Conway, Ark.: 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Maria Lueck (Robert) and Heidi Kirchberg (Doug) and brothers, Joseph Abt (Rose), John Abt (Claudia) and Stephen Abt and a host of extended family and friends. Her son-in-law Thomas Ratzlaff also preceded her in death. The Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 13, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, with visitation to follow, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Marconi as celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, her children will serve as pallbearers and carry her to her final rest.
