Joyce Jeanne Mason Carroll

Joyce Jeanne Mason Carroll, 78, of Richardson, Texas died Monday, September 9, 2013. Born in Hazen, Ark., she attended Carlisle High School and Little Rock Junior College. She worked for the Arkansas Democrat newspaper, was the News Director of the Methodist Information newspaper for the Arkansas-Louisiana area in the 1950s and worked in New York before becoming a homemaker and moving to Texas. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Carroll of Richardson; daughters Johnna Smith of Dallas and Laura Erickson of Addison; grandson Cameron Young of Dallas; granddaughter Keara Erickson of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers Richard Mason of Sherwood, Ark. and Keith Mason of El Dorado, Ark.
