Lana Kaye Ray Hoover

Lana Kaye Ray Hoover, 63, of Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, died peacefully on September 11, 2013 at the St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. Born on August 3, 1950, in Dermott, Ark., she was the daughter of Louise Ray and the late Raymond Ray. She was retired from the University of AR at Monticello, where she worked in the payroll/personnel department and was a member of the University Club and Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Lana was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She loved God, her family, and the Razorbacks. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Monticello and was preceded in death by her father and her husband David Hoover. Survivors include her mother Louise Parker Ray of Harrison, her daughter Lisa and husband Jay of Pueblo West, Colo.; her son Ray of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; her brother Roger and wife Julie of Harrison; three grandchildren, Anna, Mary Madison, and Jenna; two fur grandchildren, Maximus and Cooper; as well as two nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
