Ronald Scott Tompkins

Ronald Scott Tompkins, Shirley, Ark. and Monson, Maine, passed away unexpectedly September 16, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Born April 15, 1959 at Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to Robert and Barbara Tompkins, who are both predeceased. Ron is also predeceased by his wife, Barbara Bihain; brother, Tommy; nephew, Christopher Littlefield and grand-niece, Tazey Shorey. He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Littlefield of Harrison, Ark., Sylvia Hunt of Guilford, Maine, Sherrill Tompkins of Bangor, Maine, Linda Tompkins of Wilmington, N.C. and Teresa Tompkins of Oppelo, Ark.; brothers, Rick Tompkins of Shirley, Ark., and Brad Tompkins of Oppelo, Ark.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his beloved American Bulldog, Bear! Ron served four years in the Army, stationed at Fort Ord, California. He was a quiet man with a kind heart who loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
