Faith, Family and Service were the focus of the life of Ruth Frances Cochran, age 93, who passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013. She was born March 18, 1920 to Charles Martin and Bertha Cross Cochran and was a lifelong resident of Texarkana, Arkansas. In recent years she lived in Little Rock to be near her sister-in-law, Lucille Cochran, a niece, Donna Cochran McLarty, and a nephew, Wayne Elkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dovie Hopkins, Charliene Cochran, Maurine Cochran and her brothers, Virgil R. Cochran and Gordon Hopkins. She is survived by Lucille Cochran, Donna McLarty and husband Mack, Mark McLarty, Franklin, Gabby and Brianna McLarty. Wayne Elkins and wife Janice, and several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and their families. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Parkway Village and at Fox Ridge for their love and attention during her years in Little Rock; to Mary Hurley and Brenda Cole and their loving teams of caregivers; and special gratitude to Dr. Dean Kumpuris for his years of care and friendship. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel at Beech Street First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas, officiated by Rev. Dwight Curtis on Saturday, September 21 at 2:30pm. Ruth Cochran will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm at East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Arkansas, one hour prior to the Memorial Service.
