Bobby Joe Spence Sr.

Bobby Joe Spence Sr., 74, of Bee Branch passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Born in Trumann, Ark. on June 6, 1939, he was the son of the late Eck and Nancy (Brown) Spence. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Bell South in Memphis with 31 years of service. Bob was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Damascus, Ark. He was also a 32 degree Master Mason, past master of the Raleigh Masonic Lodge, and past patron and member of the Bartlett OK Houck O. E. S. Those left to cherish his memory are: son, Bobby Joe Spence Jr.; daughter, Cathy Braswell and husband Ross; son-in law, Paul Gallina; sister, Betty Tunnel of Memphis; sister-in-law, Helen Hutchins and husband Windell of Bee Branch; grandchildren, Christopher Gallina, Elisabeth Gallina, Daniel Braswell, and Caitlin Braswell; and great-granddaughter, Mila Gallina. In addition to his parents, his wife of 56 years, Mary Louise Spence; daughter, Tammy Gallina; brother Elry Spence; and sisters, Louise King and Bernice Weaver preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery near Damascus with Christopher Gallina, Jeffery Todd Hutchins, Zachary Hutchins, Jeff Hutchins, Todd Hutchins, and Glen Stambaugh serving as pallbearers.
