JAMES (JIM) THOMAS ORTON, 69, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away at his home on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 surrounded by his family after a long battle of cancer. He was born to the late James T. Orton Sr. and Lottie Colvin Orton in Warren, Ark. on Aug. 27, 1944. Jim, worked at Little Rock Tool Service for 34 years, and was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Henderson United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Ark. He was an avid hunter and a member of Savage Hunting Club in Warren, Ark. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Debbie (Lawhon) Orton; one son, Lance Orton; mother-in-law, Janice Estes; sister-in-law, Annette Knight and Melanie Lawhon; nephew, Jay Parham and first cousin, Sherry Miller, who was like a sister to him. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300 with Reverend Tom Frase officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, Ark.
