Jimmy Doyle Hobby Sr.

Jimmy Doyle Hobby Sr., age 77, of Benton passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born December 29, 1935 in Saline County. Jimmy was a retired mechanic, a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and a US Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlie and Lethel Dorsey Hobby, his wife Melba, and a daughter, Vicki Abbott. Survivors, sons, Jimmy Doyle Hobby Jr., Benton; David Hobby, Benton; daughters, Wanda Jones, Benton; Debra King, Jacksonville, Arkansas; brother, Donald Hobby, Benton; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ashby's. Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Sardis United Methodist Church with burial at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.
