SHIRLEY MINER BROWN, 82, was born on August 23, 1931. She fell asleep in the hope of Israel on September 22, 2013. She now awaits the resurrection of the dead at the return of her Lord and Master Jesus Christ at his coming to establish the Kingdom of God forever on this earth. Shirley was a Christadelphian, having been baptized into the saving covenant of the Lord at the age of 16. Shirley graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1949 and attended Draughn's Business School in Little Rock the following year. She was married to Roger Brown in 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Brown, and her beloved daughter, Janyth Bishop; her parents, Bayliss and Katherine Miner; and brothers, Lyman Miner and Max Miner. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Jim) Pidcock of Little Rock, son, Stephen Brown of Little Rock, son, Douglas (Roseann) Brown of Randolph, New Jersey; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Brown, Lindsay Brown, and Lauren Brown, also of Randolph, New Jersey.,Also surviving is a son-in-law, John Bishop of Little Rock, a brother-in-law, W.G. Brown Jr. of Guy, Arkansas, a brother-in-law, Blair Smith of Richmond, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 224-8300, where visitation will be held Tuesday evening, Sept. 24 from 6 till 8 p.m. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
