PATRICIA JEANNE CAMP MOODY, 86, of Little Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. She was born on May 27, 1927 in Lauratown, Ark., to Robert and Rubye Grissom Camp. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Halbert Jones Moody on Jan. 6, 2010. Also preceding her were her parents, her husband's parents, Ben and Agla Jones Moody of Clover Bend, Ark.; and a daughter-in-law, Pamela Michelle Davis Moody (Keith) of Wimberley, Texas. After graduating as Valedictorian from Hoxie High School, she attended Arkansas State College (now Arkansas State University) in Jonesboro for just one semester where she was a cheerleader and a member of Alpha Sigma Sorority. However, after her money ran out, she returned home. After moving to Little Rock in 1948, she renewed her acquaintance with Halbert Moody of Clover Bend after a chance meeting. After marrying two years later, four little boys soon appeared and she traded her dream of a college education for that of a mother and homemaker. She and Halbert spent the next 59 ½ years together raising four boys, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Survivors include her four sons, Keith Jay Moody of Wimberley, Texas, Scott Alan Moody and Ben Robert Moody, all of Little Rock, and Mark Anthony Moody of Honolulu, Hawaii; former daughters-in-law, Mary Jo Moody and Melissa Anne Moody of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Brooke Moody, Ben Moody Jr. and wife Jaclyn, Jason Moody and wife Kim, Summer Moody, Justin Moody and wife Julie, Mary Ann Moody Ritchie and husband Joey Ritchie, Daniel Moody, Brian Moody and Christian Moody; six great-grandchildren, Aiden Moody, Mila Moody, Peyton Moody, Justin Bo Moody, Tucker Moody, and Johnny Moody; three step-great-grandchildren, Jordan, MacKensie, and Charlie; her devoted sister, Bobbie Carolyn Camp of Little Rock; three aunts, Regina Camp of Jonesboro, Ethrene Grissom of Walnut Ridge and Alene Grissom of Hoxie; several cousins, close friends Jim Childers and Marilyn Halbrook of Little Rock, and many of the Moody children's friends who considered Pat a surrogate mother. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice Home Care for the care and compassion shown to our Mother during her short stay there.
