Jerry G. Perry of Scott, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 27, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle against acute myeloid leukemia. He was born Aug. 21, 1944 in Grenada, Miss. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Perry, and a stillborn sister. He is survived by his wife, Paula Healey Perry and children, Tammy (Steve) Woods of Grenada, Miss., Kevin (Tricia) Perry of Benton, Ark., Lee (Darla) Edge of Sherwood, Ark., Taneesa (Will) Richardson of Lithia, Fla. Jerry is also survived by a brother, Robert Jr. (Teresa) Perry of Terry, Miss.; and a sister, Betty Haile of Scobey, Miss.; in addition to his father-in-law, Paul (Patsy) Healey of Houston, Ark.; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Healey of Sherwood, Ark. Grandchildren include Stan (Rachael), Neil, and Preston Woods of Grenada, Miss., Reagan (Cory) Grigsby, and Dillon Perry of Benton, Ark., Courtney and Hunter Edge of Sherwood, Ark., and Hayden and Heath Richardson of Lithia, Fla. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, McKayla Bailey, Kamden Andrus, and Brantley Woods of Grenada, Miss., in addition to extended family and friends. Jerry was a floor covering contractor and owner of JGP Inc., Little Rock, Ark. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark., and from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at National Funeral Home, 2113 Commerce Street, Grenada, Miss.
