Katye McAfee DeJoy

Katye McAfee DeJoy, 94, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 1, 2014. She was born April 13, 1919 to the late William Dolph and Pearl Davis McAfee. She was married to the late Samuel J. DeJoy for 62 years. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother Ray McAfee. During her lifetime she made a host of friends and was active in her community. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter Marcia DeJoy Pomtree and husband Robert, one grandson, Anthony Mark Pomtree and wife Mindy, two great-grandchildren, Sydney Reese Pomtree and Austin Samuel Pomtree and one niece, Martha Raye McAfee. She will be missed greatly. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Friday April 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vic Nixon presiding.
