Sylvester Joseph Zakrzewski, 85, of North Little Rock, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. He will always be remembered by everyone for his sweet smile. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired from Chicopee Manufacturing. Although he sat in the back row, he was a front row Catholic. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Zanoff Zakrzewski; three sons, Tommy Zakrzewski and wife Terri of Oakland, Tennessee, Danny Zakrzewski and wife Kathy of North Little Rock and Andy Zakrzewski of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Frances Wise and husband Mike of Sherwood; two brothers, Louie Zakrzewski of North Little Rock and Albin Zakrzewski of Mayflower; seven grandchildren, Amber, Matt, Stephanie, Rachael, Brian, Katie and Nick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Bawiec) Zakrzewski; brother, Carl Zakrzewski; sister, Maggie Seredynski; daughter, Rose Marie Zakrzewski; and his sweet grandson, Sam Zakrzewski. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 1516 Parker Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by the Rosary.
