Jimmie Juanita Ford

Jimmie Juanita Ford, 85, died Saturday, April 12, 2014. Born February 22, 1929 in Holland, Arkansas a daughter of the late Hugh and Lillie Ann Parker Craig. Mrs. Ford was the widow of John C. Ford and a retired teacher. She taught first and third grades as well as Special Education for over 30 years. Most of her career was spent at Bald Knob where she loved her students and was known for her long hours and dedication to ensure each child received a proper education. She received her Masters Degree from Harding University and her undergraduate work was completed at Arkansas State Teachers College. Mrs. Ford, along with some of her friends and siblings, shared enthusiasm for Razorback Basketball and would often trade phone calls to discuss the games. She lovingly cared for her husband, John until his death in 2012. Survivors: son, Paul Ford and wife Sherry of Little Rock; sister, Eva Jay Langford of Conway. Preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Charles Ford; daughters, Kaye Ann and Faye Ellen Ford; 9 siblings, Tom, Paul, Homer, Willie and Parker Craig, Opal Hoggard, Lillie Sowell, Nora Ellen Suttle and Hazel Walther. Visitation: Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. Services: Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 2 p.m., Powell Funeral Chapel.
