Marguerite Burchfield

Marguerite Moody Cooley Burchfield, 99, died Sunday, April 13, 2014. She was born August 5, 1914 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late Will and Fay Moody. Mrs. Burchfield was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob where she served in the Junior Sunday School for many years. She was retired from Bald Knob School Cafeteria. Her hands were kept busy with sewing and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and fishing occasionally. She is survived by her five children, Melvin Cooley and wife Glen, Donald Cooley and wife Sue, Joe Burchfield and wife Mae, Brenda Williams and husband Rufus all of Bald Knob and Mrs. Linnie Faye Pierce of Memphis, Tennessee. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Erma Jean Nolan. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Burchfield, daughter, Glenda Louise Cooley; son, Billy June Burchfield; great-grandchild, Nathan Worley; son-in-law, David Pierce; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Cooley; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Central Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Cooley and Bro. Paul Reams officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
