Dorothy Yaney Pierce

Dorothy Yaney Pierce, 90, of Rison, Ark. died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in West Memphis, Ark. Mrs. Pierce retired from Arkansas Soil Conversation Services and was a member of Rison United Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Women and an avid Bridge Player. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bennett Pierce. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Luttrell (Andy) of Marion, Ark.; a son, Dr. Joseph Pierce (Wanda) of Jonesboro, Ark.; four grandchildren, John Pierce, Dr. Deborah Cook, Margaret Horton and Olivia Luttrell; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Rison United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or The American Heart Association.
