Mary Sue Daniel Carrington, 92, a longtime resident of White Hall, Arkansas, passed away on April 19, 2014, after a lengthy illness, at home with her family in Rowlett, Texas. She was born January 01, 1922, in Bluffton, Arkansas (Yell County) to the late Ben E. and Ada Aikman Daniel. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of White Hall and a 50 year member of Union #40 of the Order of Eastern Star. Sue was employed by Safeway Stores at the age of 21 and worked for them for 25 years before retiring. After retiring from Safeway, she worked for White Hall Reality and then Century 21 for 22 years retiring in 1995. She also worked part time for her late husband Curt at Curt's Auto Parts of White Hall assisting with the bookkeeping. Sue was always on the go; you would most likely find her raking leaves and tending her yard. If she wasn't doing that she was baking pies and cakes for her neighbors and friends who couldn't get out or had done her a good deed. She also helped care for many of her family and friends who were ill or in the hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Curtis "Curt" Arthur Carrington, five brothers, Ben, Tom, Edgar, Luther and Glenn Daniel and five sisters, Bernice Chambers, Zeraldine Gladden, Martha Milligan, Murline Jenkins, and Ada Ruth Curry. Survivors include one son, Alan Carrington and Trudy of Rowlett, Texas, one daughter, Thomasena Williams and Tommy of Warren; a sister Juanita Carter of Benton; a brother Billy Pat Daniel and Gloria of Dumas; four grandchildren, Scott Williams and Lisa, Jeannie Rook and Tim all of Warren, Amanda Curtis and Clifford of Tinsman, Justin Carrington of Rowlett, Texas; a nephew, Dale Milligan whom she and her late husband raised; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services by Ralph Robinson & Son will be Thursday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of White Hall with Reverend Denny Daniel and his brother Chet Daniel officiating, assisted by Pastor Paul Williams. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Rick Jenkins, Randy Jenkins, Dan Gladden, Wayne Carter, Brad Curry, Michael Daniel, and Bobby Jo Daniel.
