Annie Mae Kirchoff

Annie Mae Kirchoff, 89, of Stuttgart, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at The Terrace of Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach, Florida. Ann was born October 9, 1924, in Boydell, Arkansas, to Eula Ophelia O'Fallin Davidson and Elbert L. Johnson. Ann was the granddaughter of Joe Johnson and Annie Louise Johnson. Ann graduated from Normangee, Texas, High School and attended Chenier Business College at Beaumont, Texas. She married Walter Ralph Kirchoff Sr. on July 17, 1944. In addition to being a Girl Scout camp director, Ann was partners with her husband Walter and son Ralph in several Gibson Discount stores in Georgia and Florida. Ann and Walter also owned and operated Santa's Little Forest in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Ann was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stuttgart. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband of 67 years, Walter Ralph Kirchoff Sr.; infant son, James Howard Kirchoff; daughter, Annette Louise Kirchoff Woodard of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and two brothers, Homer Johnson and Odis Johnson. Survivors are her son, Walter Ralph Kirchoff Jr. and daughter-in-law Trena Lynn Kirchoff of Ormond Beach, Florida; her daughter, Sylvia Mae Kirchoff of Folsom, Louisiana; one brother, Glennon Johnson of Richards, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren along with several special nieces, nephews and sisters-in law. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stuttgart with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
