T.A. Feild M.D. 80, of Springdale, Arkansas formerly of Fort Smith and Lavaca, Arkansas entered into rest on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Springdale. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia and reared in Charleston, West Virginia. He and his wife had four daughters and four granddaughters. He had a BA with Distinction from the University of Virginia and was Phi Beta Kappa, was a graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and interned at the Henry Ford Hospital, now part of the University of Michigan. He was in Family Practice for 40 years in Fort Smith, Ark. where he owned his first clinic and then practiced with Holt-Krock Clinic, PhyCor and Sparks Medical Foundation until January 1, 2004, when he became disabled. He had his Boards in Family Practice for the past 30 years, and they were current through 2005. He was on the Executive Committee at Sparks, as well as Peer Review Committees and Auditing Committees. In the Army He was a Flight Surgeon and had the Opportunity to attend Crash investigation school. After that, he was a part of the crash investigation team on numerous occasions, until his discharge. His community involvements includes: President of the Fort Smith School Board, Chairman, Westark Community College Board of Trustees, Chairman, UAFS Foundation Board, Chairman, Fort Smith Civil Service Commission, President, Fort Smith Rotary Club, President, Sebastian County Medical Society, Past Board Member, Arkansas Academy of Family Practice, Past Senior Warden, St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church and Past Trustee, Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Theophilus Feild Jr and one daughter, Anne Spillman. Survivors include wife, Kay Feild, daughters, Katherine Feild, Elizabeth McClellan and husband Bryan, Janie Hager and husband Eric, son in law, Tracy Spillman, granddaughters, Grace and Feild Spillman, Lindsay Taylor and Presley Hager, sisters, Jean Russell, Margaret Kresge and husband Theodore, Brother, Dr. Bolling Feild.
