Eddie Lee Block

Eddie Lee Block. 84, of Little Rock passed away peacefully on April 20, 2014. She was born May 28, 1929 in Hope, Ark. She preceded in death by husband, Thomas Block; parents, Horace and Ora Carrigan; sons, Benjamin, John and Charles Block; daughter, Gloria Hampton; brother, Joseph Carrigan; sisters, Ida Hood and Dienitter Romine. She's survived by two sons, James Block of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and Tommy Block (Jacqueline) of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Edna Shack (Vernon) of Little Rock, Ark. and Belinda Glassco (Greg) of Jacksonville, Ark.; one brother, Lee Carrigan, Sr.; 13 grandchildren, Rushun Foster Sr., Jordan Block, David Hampton, Joe L. White Jr., Anthony Raymon Paige, Thomas Paige, Dedrick Poole, Kendra Hampton, Dekeata Walker (raised as a daughter) (Curtis), Angel Horne (Marlon), Alexa Block, Tamika Dodson (Alex) and Kimberly Green; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, April 28, 2014, 11 a.m., at St. John Baptist Church, 2501 Main, Little Rock, Ark. with Pastor C.D. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014, 4-5 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
