Leotta Ladean Davis, 75, of Springdale, formerly of Russellville and Gillett, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The daughter of Andrew and Rose Autry Kerns, she was born September 10, 1938 in Dover. She was a 1956 Pottsville High graduate, attending ATU, and achieving a Certificate in Accounting at UACCM. She married Billy Davis, Sr, on March 27, 1959. She was a bank teller with Planters and Merchants Bank in Gillett. Leotta was an avid and talented bridge player who belonged to several bridge clubs. She enjoyed traveling and her family and friends were very important to her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Russellville and Gillett. She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons, Nathan and Kevin Davis; three grandchildren, Taylor, Nathan and Emily; seven sisters, Thelma "Skipper" Bushyhead, Ruth Kendrick, Grace Walters, Lulu-Belle Morgan, Joyce Brown, Maple Francis Kerns; and two brothers, Willie and Van Kerns. To cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Billy Davis, Sr. of Springdale; two sons, Billy Davis Jr. and wife Rebecca of Fayetteville, Nathan Davis and wife Jennifer of Dryden, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Carlea and Maysie Davis of Dryden, NY; two sisters, Jean and husband Melvin Hull of Springfield, MO, Rosalea "Curly" and husband Wilton Lawhorn of Grand Prairie, Texas; many beloved nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Russellville. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
