Herschel Ray Vaughn

Herschel Ray Vaughn, 61, of Hot Springs Village, AR entered into heavenly rest on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 after a long illness. Herschel lived most of his life in Northeast Arkansas. He enjoyed football, boxing, singing, and telling silly jokes. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Joiner Baptist Church. Herschel was the son of the late Charles W. and Bessie Loeda Vaughn of Bassett, Ark. and was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Gordon Vaughn. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Jacqueline Gail Vaughn; a son, Gary Vaughn of Hot Springs Village; a daughter, Alissa (Dustin) Noe of Ward, Ark.; grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew; mother-in-law, Phyllis Zappala; one brother, Kenneth Vaughn of Bassett; three sisters, Shirley Vaughn Taylor of Bassett, Ark., Esther Vaughn Standrod (Ronnie) of Augusta, Ga., and Janice Vaughn Jacks (Joe) of Osceola, Ark., and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Roller-Swift in Osceola, Ark. at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 with visitation at 2 p.m. one hour prior to the service.
