William Monroe White, 79, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 2, 2014. He was born in his beloved family home in Possum Valley, Arkansas on July 30, 1935, and was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Maggie White. He married his wife of 58 years, Ora Faye White, on February 11, 1956 in Greenville, Mississippi. He began work as a route man for Arkansas Uniform & Linen and retired as president of the company after 35 years. William is survived by his wife, Ora Faye White; children Steve White and Pam White Bayani; grandchildren Matthew White, Andrew White, Faith Hendrixson, Luke Hendrixson; siblings Frances Inez Thomas, Travis White, Ethel Stiles, Marjorie Craig, and Nellie Grimes; great grandchildren Maddox Quiros White and Gabriel Ferguson; and a host of extended family and friends. He loved the lakes of Conway and was a great fisherman. Young folks were drawn to him by his infectious humor and charismatic personality. He worked very hard, took remarkable care of his family, and is profoundly missed. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, at the Griffin Leggett Funeral Home in Conway, followed by the service at 2 p.m. Online guestbook is available at www.griffinleggettconway.com.
