June Dunn Mahfouz Keahey

June Dunn Mahfouz Keahey, 94, of Maumelle, Arkansas formally of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Maumelle Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home. She was born in Blackwell, Arkansas on June 7, 1920 to the late Joseph L. and Mittie Kilpatrick Dunn. June formerly worked at the Office of Economic Opportunity as a social worker. She was very civic minded and was involved in many civic organizations. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Civitan Club. June and her late husband were former business owners in Dermott, Arkansas. She was a member of Dermott Baptist Church in Dermott, Ark. June was formerly a long time member of First Baptist Church of McGehee, Ark. where she was the past president of her Sunday School class. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert A. Mahfouz and Bob Keahey. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Arlen Mahfouz of Hot Springs, Ark., Ronald Joseph Mahfouz of Monticello, Ark., Michael Anthony Mahfouz and wife Ines of Maumelle, Ark.; daughters, Virginia Robertson and husband AL of Maumelle, Ark., Jennifer Keahey and husband Bobby of Pine Bluff, Ark., Lisa Buckner and husband Bruce of Cross Plains, Tenn.; sister, Jeannette Dunn Rains of LaGrange, Ga..; grandchildren, Michelle Keahey of Maumelle, Ark., Andy Mahfouz of Hot Springs, Ark., Michael Mahfouz Jr. of Maumelle, Ark., Richard Mahfouz of Chicago, Ill., Jaime Alverson of Little Rock, Ark., Jarrod Robertson of Columbia, Mo., Tommy Jarrett of Lake Village, Ark., Steve Jarrett of Lake Village, Ark., Christopher Mahfouz, Crystal Garbe, Virginia Mahfouz, and Shane Mahfouz; 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, Ark.
