Faye Ellen (Rogers) Provence, 74, born January 30th, 1940 in Enola, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. Faye, a very special person, did not know a stranger, especially the children she met. Many of the young people that knew her, called her "mom", she would help them any way she could. She started driving a school bus for Sheridan Schools to be with her 3 boys as much as possible; not only driving daily, she drove the band on trips to be with the one's she called her children. She enjoyed and participated in all the activities her sons enjoyed, camping at many of the Arkansas lakes, roller skating at willow springs skating rink, racing cars, to name a few. Faye volunteered with the East End Fire Department where she became a firefighter/EMT and worked her way to the rank of Captain. Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John; father, Doyle Rogers of N.L.R. She is survived by her mother, Asilee Rogers of N.L.R.; sister, Helen (Robert) Young of N.L.R.; sons, Tim (Deb) Provence, Eddie (Tammy) Provence; Doyle (Donna) Provence; Darrell Young all of East End; grandchildren, Lisa (John), Lynnsee, Delana (Joseph), Vanessa, Michael, Mandy (Matt), Samantha, and Candice; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral services are 3 p.m., Wednesday, August 13th, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home with services concluding after the funeral service. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in East End.
