John Charles Waliski

John Charles Waliski of Carlisle was called to his eternal home on Aug. 13, 2014. His long, drawn-out suffering ended peacefully at his home in his sleep. In his 64 years of life, he never met a stranger who he couldn't relate to and share stories with. He often "officially" became friends after presenting them with a unique, hand-made gift, which he would labor tirelessly for hours and sometimes days to make. His friends knew him as a tough on the surface, witty, but ultimately kind individual who would do everything in his power to help people overcome a bad situation. While living, he made it a point to always do, but to never boast about doing for others. He was a member of the Freemasons and Order of Elks. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Angela Waliski of Sherwood; son, Clay Waliski of Carlisle; twin sister, JoAnn Kirk of Judsonia; and elder sisters, Jean Heral and Sue Crye of Little Rock; and his faithful Pomeranian, Whitney. In lieu of flowers or memorials, his family kindly asks that anyone reading this perform an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness to brighten someone's day.
