Connie Hill, 66, of Maumelle passed away on Wednesday, August 20. She was born on July 4, 1948 in Canton, Ohio to Clyde and Catherine Cozadd. Preceded in death by her father, Connie is survived by her mother, Catherine Cozadd of Nacogdoches, Texas and her loving husband of 22 years, Calvin Hill; daughters Elaine Horner (Jerald) of Flower Mound, Texas, Wendy Gerstenkorn (Jim) of Arlington, Texas,, Amy Noble (Tom) of Salem, Ark., Ingrid Cole'rus of Karlstad, Sweden and son, Calvin Hill III (Bonny) of Conway and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David Cozadd (Amy) of Nacogdoches, Texas, along with a host of loving friends. Connie is known by all as a devoted wife, mother, "Nana" and friend. She never missed sending a card for every occasion or giving support to her family in every way that she could. Connie loved children, serving as a Girl Scout Leader, church youth group leader, public school volunteer and a nursery volunteer for Easter Seals. She was honored as "Camden Woman of the Year in 1985 Connie worked as a dental hygienist after graduating with honors from UAMS. Connie loved to have fun shopping with her girls, watching movies or playing Bunko with the "Dames of Dice". A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24 from 2-4 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, August 25 at 9 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel with internment to follow at North Little Rock Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Connie's name to the American Cancer Society.
